Dirty screen film. Tried cleaning

I just bought a new case for my ipod touch, and while applying the screen film I accidentally set it down on the somewhat dirty table. Now my ipod seems to be getting scratched by the dirt and dust. I would rather clean it than buy a new one. Is there anyway that I could clean it? I've tried using water and a cloth but it doesn't seem to get it. Also the screen film is from agent18, I don't know if that matters.
