Except for incoming calls? I would like for my phone to just vibrate when I receive a text (biteSMS) or an email (Gmail app) but not have the actual notification show up on my screen. IF I then press the home button, my lockscreen is still clean (have a theme) but with notification banners on the status bar (already have that).

Obviously it would take longer to either go to the app to see the notification, or just slide down for Notification Center, but it beats having the phone's screen turn on and off constantly.

Any way to do this?

Why don't you just go into notification settings and turn off "show on lock screen" for all of them? I've done that and my phone never turns on for notifications anymore.
