I'm doing the disable and delete messages from iCloud to clean out some old messages that refused to delete and kept showing back up. At what point are they actually deleted after the 30 days? Currently, I see the below and it says "in 0 days, the messages stored in iCloud will be deleted". I think today is day 30 or 31. Will that change when it's done? I don't want to turn sync back on too soon and have to start over :(.

Hey did you ever figure this out? I'm trying to resolve the same issue where deleted messages keep coming back.

I waited 35 days and then enabled it... all the messages were deleted and the ones I had on my device sync'd to the cloud.

Hey could you also assist me with this? When I performed the disable & delete on my main phone, it shows that my iCloud storage was 0 Kb. I signed into iCloud on a secondary phone, enabling iCloud messages and it shows I have thousands of messages in iCloud even though iCloud storage also shows 0 Kb.

I didn’t turn back on iCloud messages on my main phone and waited 31 days, but upon checking on my secondary phone, I still see those thousands of messages stored in iCloud. There is no messages in my secondary phone and when I tried syncing, it started downloading those messages onto my secondary phone.

After you waited 35 days and enabled iCloud messages, did you see messages in Cloud turn to 0? Or how did you see all the messages in iCloud were deleted?

TIA!
