Hi

I have to specific problem with iMessage!

One of my friends has an iPad2 and a mobile phone from Nokia. He has activated iMessage on his iPad2 which means that I automatically will send messages to him via iMessage.
However, the problem is that those are not shown on his Nokia mobile phone, which he uses all the time.

How can I send normal SMS to him without having to manually turn on and off iMessage?
Is there anyway you can disable iMessage for certain people??

This is frustrating!!

Kind regards
Philip

Can't you just select the nokia number when you hit his name? It shows all the different associated numbers when you go to select your buddy. iMessage automatically detects if its an iOS 5 device so if not then the sms would go through as normal.

Make sure you are sending to his PHONE NUMBER and not email. There's a good chance the email was picked when you chose his name.

Thanks guys. That is a good advice!
However, I still hope you can be able to manually switch it off at some point for certain people.
