As my iPad is shared I don't want to have iMessage or FaceTime on it, I have an iPhone.

In restrictions I've found I can hide FaceTime so that's sorted, but iMessage, allows toggle on/off without a password etc.

The iPad has my AppleID on for backup but I don't want iMessage.

Anyone help please
Thanks

In settings for iMessage just tap your email/Apple ID and click sign out. It will sign you out of iMessage only but not iCloud. FaceTime is the same. A password will be required to sign back in.

Can't see that all I see is the toggle

Toggle it on. Then follow the above steps.

Brilliant! Thanks a lot. Had to toggle on, wait for activation, then click on registered phone numbers/email and then could click my AppleID and allowed me to sign out.

Now if go to iMessage asks to sign in rather then the toggle

Thanks again
