Is there a way to disable the reply suggestions in Messages on Sequoia with Apple Intelligence enabled? These are the reply suggestions I'm referring to:

I have already gone into System Settings > Keyboard > Edit... next to my U.S. Input Source and disabled "Show inline predictive text" alongside all options besides smart quotes and dashes. however, these obnoxious pop-ups persist.

Is the only route disabling Apple Intelligence?

Please for the love of gawd someone have an answer to this

I’m having a little fun with AI turned on for XCode, but I’m worried that I will accidentally hit one of these suggestions and my GF or my family will think I turned into an imbecile

Try opening Message.app's Settings pane and turning off "Summarize messages".

FWIW, I've also disabled "Summarize Message Previews" and "Use Smart Addresses" in the "Viewing" tab of Mail.app's Settings.

I took a look, but I'd already disabled this, and unfortunately I'm still getting the Smart Reply suggestions.

Note that I've also disabled "Show Siri Suggestions in application" and "Learn from this application" in the Messages section of System Settings.app > Apple Intelligence & Siri > About Siri, Dictation, and Privacy.

I'm not getting them. Perhaps it's because I've disabled Siri Suggestions in the Spotlight pane of System Settings?

This is much less likely to be relevant, but I've also disabled "Summarize notifications" in the Notifications pane of Systems Settings.

I have "Summarize notifications" disabled as well. I unchecked "Mail & Messages" and "Siri Suggestions" from Spotlight. Unfortunately still seeing them :(

This is an Apple Intelligence feature. Do you have Apple Intelligence enabled?

I haven't found a way to disable them without disabling Apple Intelligence completely. I want to keep Apple Intelligence on for other things, but I would also like to disable these "smart replies". I'm never going to use one of these suggestions...
