Hi everyone,
I'm just posting this here so that it might help others.
Historically I've had no issues playing HD iTunes movies a my Mac Pro 5.1 with GTX 760 and Dell U2414H display.
It's been a while since I last watched a movie on my Mac so I don't know when the error first started but today I couldn't play any HD movies as I would get the "This movie cannot play on a monitor that doesn't support HDCP" message.
I did a search on here and saw that numerous people have been plagued with this for years.
Long story short, I rebooted, repaired permissions, rest SMC, tried different cables (DP the, DVI to HDMI, then HDMI to HDMI) and the message was the same.
I was pretty peeved at this stage and then thought I'd revert back to the stock Mac OS drivers. Now I've used the Nvidia web driver before without issues but sure enough, I disabled the Nvidia driver, restarted the Pro and now all of these movies are playing again.
I appreciate it won't solve everyones issue but if you've been having this problem and you have that driver installed maybe try reverting back to the stock Mac OS drivers.
Kind regards,
Angelus
