Say my phone was stolen. I don't want the other person to put it in DFU or recovery mode to restore the phone. What can i do? I know theres a tweak called RecoveryGuard on cydia but that does not prevent going into recovery mode or DFU mode manually (power on + home button method). It only prevents iTunes from sending the phone to that mode while the phone is on.

I doubt it's possible without some kind of chip reprogramming.

You can't AFAIK, just take care of your stuff and you should be fine.
Unless you physically break/disconnect either the power or home button
