I'm using a Macbook Pro Early 2013 with Windows 8.1 as the operating system, MacOS has been uninstalled.

I've run into a bit of a dilemma. I hope to use this Macbook for school, eventually, and regardless it creates a bit of an issue, that the startup chime blasts at full volume every time I wake my Macbook, or restart it. I can set it to do nothing when the laptop is closed, or hibernate.

If I do nothing, I run the risk of battery loss, as the screen will stay on. If I hibernate, inbetween classes I will have to blast that annoying chime at full volume (not optimal). From a quick google search, I heard on MacOS you can disable the startup chime using an nvram command, being
Code:
sudo nvram StartupMute=%01
, however the bootcamp setup (as you'd expect), does not include an alternative to the nvram command for windows, not that I'm even aware this works on this Macbook.

If anyone knows anyway to disable the startup chime, whether it involves some hidden bootup key-combo to enter the command before startup, or really any solution, please let me know.

Did you try Command (⌘)-R: Start up from the built-in macOS Recovery system. Run terminal from there. Turn Off the MacBook Startup Sound

I echo the sentiment of the prior post; Try from Recovery if you still have a recovery partition.

In general it is not advisable to entirely delete the macOS volume. It probably doesn't matter as much on a 2013, but the macOS volume is otherwise the only way to update the system firmware
