Disable "Top Hits" in Mail.app

Does anyone know how to disable this? It seems to be a new feature in High Sierra as I've never seen it before. Absolutely terrible suggestions for me - not once in the past couple of days have the suggestions been what I have searched for.

Yes - very distracting - we are all adults - we can find our own "top hits". I like a clean interface with the newest on top. Complaining to apple - here https://www.apple.com/feedback/mail.html

Thanks so much for your advice...I am certain complaining to Apple will get very quick results....
