Hi,
Hope someone can help. I bought a Hyperdrive 11-1 USB Dock. Primarily for the 3x USB and GB Ethernet. The hub comes with an Audio Jack for headphones which i would never use.

My sound preferences now also show a USB PNP Audio device. I don't select it as an output as i use JBL bluetooth Headphones.

Ever since i have plugged this hub in, my sound quality has gone down the drain on my JBL. I can't remove the USB audio device unless i unplug the hub (which defeats the object of having it in the first place).

Any idea how to remove the device?

I have tried setting up an aggregate device as per my google search. But no difference.

Any thoughts?

Update,
I shutdown and removed the hub. Powered on, connected the headphones and all is good.
I then plugged the hub in and it put the USB audio device under output devices. But this time my sound on the BT headphones was good? So i am lost.

I did a restart with the hub plugged in and the sound is still back to normal

Temporary glitch?

Or it wasn't the hub causing it. I have experienced Bluetooth sound connecting like the old hands free for phones on my old iMac. I think I had to dive into the hidden Bluetooth settings and do some reset to fix it.

Visually my dock looks the same, just branded goobay. But no pnp sound appears and the USB ports doesn't work well, so maybe it is not the same inside, like I thought or it failed quality control and being sold as a cheap knock off ?

I will keep an eye on it. Got the dock at the Apple Store and they say it is apple certified (not know if that means much). So far the sounds are back to normal. Thanks for the response
