Hello, the YouTube app on my iPad, there is an irritating icon. If I accidentally touch the icon, it will just connect to my living room TV. I never ever want it to display my youtube movies on the TV, I can't find any app setting to turn it off. How can I disable it? Thanks.

Don’t think there’s a way to disable it from the phone/app, but there might be a way to unlink your phone from the tv or disable this feature on the tv itself. Check through the settings on your tv.

You can make a guest network. Have the tv go on that network. So the phone/ipad will not share the same network and chrome cast will not be enabled.

That’s a feature included by YouTube. Just be careful and don’t accidentally tap on it. There’s no way to disable it. As long as your phone and chrome cast is sharing the same network.

If you don’t have a chrome cast then you must have paired the tv with your YouTube account. You can go to the YouTube app on your tv and logout.
