Well, I'm feeling gutted. I've ran out of attempts to put in my passcode and my new IPP is disabled. I haven't had the chance to sync it with iTunes.

I ordered an Anker USB-C to 3.0 cable after reading reviews that said it worked with the new Pros and connected the device to my Windows computer. I'm following this guide to erase it in recovery mode but my computer isn't detecting anything?
The iPad wakes if I connect either end into it or the computer, but the computer gives no notification, the relevant options are still greyed out in iTunes, Device Manager shows nothing to do with Apple, and Control Panel>Devices and Printers doesn't list it at all. Have I made a mistake somewhere? What else can I try? Asking this in case anyone can help me before a phone call from Apple tomorrow.

e: I thought I had it in recovery mode, must've pressed the wrong combo of buttons. It's being detected properly now, but iTunes gives me a 4013 error?
