Disappearing dock...

Has anyone else have their dock randomly disappear? Not the auto hide feature, as that's not on. I move the pointer to the bottom and nothing shows, so definitely not auto hide. If I go into settings and change the size I can see it again but as soon as I stop changing the size it goes again. Only comes back on reboot.

Reported the bug but wondered if it was just me.

you could try deleting the dock pref in your preferences folder (in your Home library), then log out, log back in. you could try moving it to the left or right side of the screen, see how that goes... then move it back if it's working. or stop hiding it, reboot, then try hiding it... just some ideas (off the top of my head)...

Moving it did nothing. It previewed and disappeared. Logging out and in brings it back anyway, or rebooting it. It was just weird I hadn't seen anyone else mention it.

open Terminal, type: killall Dock

then hit return (have not tried this in sierra, i have done it in el cap; so... just a warning).

anyone else?
