Hey everyone,

I have a macbook that had about 17 gigs of free space on it. I recently installed Carbon Copy Cloner to back up my hard drive (scheduled task type thing) and all of sudden there's only 2.6 gigs left.

Any idea what happened? I used Grand Perspective to see if anything was out of the ordinary, and nothing seemed to be...

Thanks.

Crazy question, but you didn't try backing up to the same drive accidently, did you?

GrandPerspective should help you, or WhatSize (I find WhatSize more useful, if less pretty). Oftentimes this is a runaway log file, and simply deleting it solves the problem.

Yeah, I thought of that but it didn't show up in Grand Perspective.

However, when I used WhatSize, a 15 gig folder called Andrew' HD 1 showed up. It's path is Andrew's HD -> Volumes

but if I spotlight it, it doesn't show up.. So for some reason CCC must have copied it over to my external (like I asked) and then also copied over to some unknown place on my internal.

I'm about to use WhatSize to delete it. Anyone think that's a bad idea?

Thanks for you help.

Mods can delete this!

I just deleted the HD 1 and everything seems to be fine.

Thanks.
