i bought a powermac g-5 and it keeps freezing up on me. when i am importing music, i click to hear the next track that is done and it freezes up. is this normal? my pc never did this!:confused: :eek: :mad: :( i hope the punctuation helps eveyone.!.!.! software is mac os x 10.4.7, 4 x 2.5 ghz powerpc g5, 2gb ddr2 sdram. importing with i tunes. no manual upgrades. got my mac 2 months ago.

No, I assure you this is not normal :) Can you give us more information about your G5 and the software you are using?

What version of Mac OS X are you using? Are you using iTunes to import music? What are the tech specs of your G5? When did you get it? Have you performed any manual upgrades on it?

Answering things like this will help us all solve your problem faster, if possible.

Take a deep breath my dude :) . Also punctuation is your friend. About the G5. How much music are you importing? Why not try importing in smaller batches or simply import the tracks and walk away for a while, ignore iTunes until it's done. I'm not quite sure why it is freezing, maybe someone else has a technical reason.:)
