After only about 8 weeks i experienced a quality issue with the all black trail loop on my AWU2.
Today i noticed that the centre velcro part got lose. Those parts seem to be glued.
As a result the strap is now difficult to open.
I must say that i did not expect such low quality on a quite expensive original apple strap.

did you talk/show this to Apple?
I've had an Ocean band break on me after 6 months or so and they replaced it

Not yet, i just informed the authorized dealer as i didn't buy it directly from Apple.
I changed back to my ocean band first of all.

Weird how it is assembled this way. The sport loops don’t end up being like that.

Did a piece fall off when you put it on or off? Did other trail loops have this issue?

Best to contact AppleCare or get it checked out at an Apple Store with a Genius.

In the end i got a warranty replacement from Apple.
The replacement came in an own 3 level packaging (outer transport box, inner box (sealed), product box (sealed)) with an own part no .
The product box is a neutral white box with partno. on it.
Seems to be quite complicated to just replace a strap.
