I'm totally unhappy with the battery life of my iPhone 12 Pro Max from iOS 14.5. I'm currently on iOS 14.6 and I can reach a maximum of 5 hours of active screen. I haven't restored it to the factory yet, but I believe it won't solve it. In the past, I spent all day taking pictures and filming, I came home with at least 50% battery. Nowadays, if I do this, I have to charge it in the middle of the day. Anyone else with the same problem?

Yep, same problem here too. iPhone 12 Pro and battery on 14.6 is absolutely awful. Have restored multiple times hoping that would fix it but now just hoping for 14.7 to resolve. Battery health is down by 5% now, with losing about 1% each week.

I don't even have the courage to check the health of my battery, especially now that I'm always arriving with 20% at the end of the day. Apple is taking a long time to fix this!

From the day I purchased my 12 Pro Max, it had standby drain issue. Luckily iOS 14.4 fixed it. Decided not to update to any other 14.x release. Will update my 12 Pro Max only once iOS 15 is officially released in September.

Hopefully iOS 15 atleast resolves the battery issue.

I heard that iOS 14.7 fixed the issue for at least some but it is still in beta, although I am pretty sure that we are near the end of the beta cycle for it.

OP,

Have you installed any new apps? Have you changed carriers or location from your usual traveled areas?
No. I still have the same apps as before. I feel like the battery drains 2x faster than before. In the past, I spent the day filming and photographing. I was home and edited my videos on iMovie and put my iPhone to charge at night with 30%. Today, doing exactly the same things, in Airplane Mode, I have to charge it in the middle of the day to get home and have battery to edit the videos.

Time to try setting up as new.

I'm going through the same. Except it was great for me before a restore.

I was on iOS 14.6 and because I was running out of space, I decided to do a clean restore using a Mac and set it up as new.

Ever since then, my phone is always constantly warm when using it. Stays cool when I don't, but it's always warm even when doing light tasks. It wasn't like that before. My CPU usage is also higher now. Previously it would idle around 2-3%. Now around 5-7%. So there's something running in the background.

Did multiple restores and set up as new. Tried signing out of iCloud and just using it. Tried airplane mode. Nothing works. CPU usage is still 6-7%.

And how much do you hit from the screen on time?

With my light usage, I get around 13-14 hours of screen on time. Now I'm down to like 10-11. It doesn't have standby battery drain. It only drains when I'm using the phone. Whatever app I open, it starts heating up. Today I could only use the camera for 5 mins because it kept heating up. Crazy!
