I was hoping for an update today. The only change is you have to go through the ipods to even find the darn thing.

They need to update the hardware or at least port the software to mac and replace front row with it.

I'm not totally discounting the prospect of a new ATV at some point in the near future - especially given some of the recent rumors - but the new Mac mini sure makes it look like Apple has given up on it. The new form factor looks sweet, it has a larger hard drive, and, most important, now has HDMI. The only problem is that the mini was already a bit expensive for what it was, and now the price has increased.
