I wonder what apple is doing with there now old previous generation of iMacs???.... I would of thought they would be discounting themm to try to get rid of them but i dont see them on there clearance items on there website.... and i went to there store and asked and they said they had to ship them back... what could they possibly be doing with the old ones??:apple::apple:
The only thing i could think they would maby be doing is selling them to schools.... Because i cant c them junking them all...

Any Ideas??:apple::apple:

they might sell them off to resellers too. Usually, you can find resellers selling the previous model for a bit after the introduction of a new model; don't expect HUGE HUGE discounts though.

Or, they could try and do what stores here in Lyon are doing: just continue to sell the old machines at the old prices, and quietly ask me to leave the store when I try to tell other customers that they're being ripped off and that they can get a new machine for less money at apple.fr.

This has happened twice. So far. I've looked in every store in the city that sells Macs and still haven't seen a new iMac, an updated Mini or any evidence of clearing out the old models (they are all resellers of course; there is no Apple store here).

Unbelievable. It's true that there are weird French rules about discounting old merchandise (i.e. it can theoretically only be done at certain times of the year, prices have to be disclosed ahead of time, etc.), but it's another step entirely to deny that new material has been released and tell customers how great the state-of-the-art white iMac is.
