Discount on Iphone contract?

Hi
Today i went to O2 store to see if they do any discount on monthly tariff or anything as a existing o2 customer. They told me even if i m a o2 customer, they cannot give me discounted tariff or more minutes or text.

Just wondered, do you think this is true? Has anyone got contract with o2 and got any discount for it?
 
Nope. But just wait till Orange and Vodafone get it here in the UK. Hopefully, the competition should push contract prices down by at least £5. :)
