Quick question.. I am considering switching to iTunes for my movie purchasing. As technology progresses and we are eventually able to download movies in full 1080p resolution, or better, do you think Apple will offer discounts for upgrading previously purchased films to the latest and greatest version? I have noticed the iTunes plus upgrades and am hoping that their movie store follows suit. Also, any chance of iTunes downloads reaching Blu-ray quality an time soon? Thanks for the responses.. :D

Not that any of us have concrete answers, but I don't see itunes downloads going to bluray quality any time soon. It seems like to much content to deliver with out bandwith now.

As far as "upgrades" to HD quality go, I would say that this will never happen because of the business model of the movie industry. They want you to rebuy the movie in the newest format. That's why they keep re-releasing movies with a couple of new features etc.
