I just installed Final Cut Pro via the first disk on the Studio package, and for right now that's all I want to install from the Studio package. I kind of want to watch a movie on my iMac. But I can't eject the DVD. I get an error message. It's says.

The disk "Final Cut Studio" is in use and could not be ejected.
Try quitting applications and try again.

On my dock it says the only programs open are Finder, and Dashboard.

So any help would be great. Thanks.

You could look in Activity Monitor or use lsof to track down the program that's holding onto the disk, but that resembles work.

Try logging out and back in. If that doesn't kill the program holding onto the drive, resort to a restart.

One other thought: Is there still an installer running on the dock? Sometimes they have "OK I'm done" dialog boxes that get lost under the sea of windows. Also, if you have a Finder window open to that disc, you may have ejecting trouble.

What do I exactly look for in Activity Monitor or lsof? I'm brand new to Mac. Sorry.

Also I tired a reboot, and a log off and that didn't help. It's bugging me.

*Edit* I tried deleting/uninstalling Final Cut Pro, and that didn't help.

Some time ago a cd got stuck in my laptop so i turned the laptop upside down and clicked eject and it worked, not sure how you will do that with an iMac. Restarting should fix it if not then you can always turn that damn thing upside down :)
