Hi,

Im a laptop engineer myself as my job so technical stuff i know so no need to talk in simple terms for me.

I have had a iMac, MacMini and now using a Macbook and installed Windows XP on all 3 of these with no problems at all. I managed to run Windows XP on the Macmini standalone without OSX needing to be installed. However the problem i am now having is related to my Macbook, here is a brief info as to whats gone on.

60gb partition, split 30/30 for OSX/XP

Now the other day in windows XP, i went into DiskManagement and deleted the OSX partition, restarted the machine and kept going to a blue screen. So then i reinstalled OSX, still same in XP, so i deleted the Windows partition... then repartitoned the drive as a whole 60gb tried installing Windows XP, wouldnt install ok though, after you select partition to use etc and it formats and copies files, it reboots and says:

Press any key to boot from CD.....(Obviously not pressed a key)
Disk Error
Press any key to restart.

So repartitioned the hdd to 10/50 and installed OSX on the 10GB partition, and formatted the 50GB Partition using Disk Utility in OSX as FAT.

Again same error as above.

The Windows XP disk i am using isnt at fault, its the same one i have used on all the other 2 of my Macs, and this 1 prior to this minor issue, i have a few backup copies of this disk and they fail to work aswell.

Anyone had this issue before, or any idea as to what i can try?

Thanks. :)

PS: Im using OSX 10.5 Leopard.
