Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago, I upgraded my Mac Pro 7.1 to macOS Ventura and have since encountered the following issue:
I occasionally use sleep mode, and with Monterey, my routine was to manually eject my Crucial MX500 2TB SATA SSD, which is mounted on an OWC Accelsior S PCIe card in slot 6. After waking the Mac Pro, I would manually remount the drive using Disk Utility without any issues.
However, since upgrading to Ventura, this process is causing problems. After waking from sleep, I immediately receive error messages saying that the drive was not ejected properly for both volumes within the APFS container. This raises concerns for me about potential data loss or corruption.
While I could completely avoid using sleep mode, I believe that sleep should function properly as long as the drive is manually ejected beforehand.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve it?
Best regards,
Ben
