My Mac seems to need to have the Disk Repaired, my employer has the disk and the guy who has it is on vacation until the 22nd. Can I use a disc from a MacBook to do the repair or does it still need drivers for this?

You can boot into single-user mode and run fsck, as it appears on the screen, but the more important question is: why is it broken to begin with?

You can repair with a retail OS disc if it is newer than the version that shipped with your computer. You don't need the exact recovery discs unless you need to use the very unhelpful HW test.
