I recently tried to create a new partition on my disk using Linux, but after the process, the disk now shows as an "Unknown Format." I’m unable to access any of the files on it.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there any way to recover the data or fix the format without losing everything? Any advice or tools that might help would be greatly appreciated!

Macs can't read typical linux disks without additional software. What format did you choose when you formatted the disk in linux? The data isn't gone, just inaccessible on the Mac.

Btw I'm using OpenCore and was trying to install BlissOS on my second disk. I created a partition for it using 'cfdisk', and the format I chose is a Linux filesystem (that’s what it’s called in cfdisk).

I've also attached all the necessary photos for reference. Let me know if you need more details

Nothing in your screenshots shows you formatting the partition, only creating it. It's possible there isn't a filesystem written to that partition at all. Think of it like a book. You changed the cover of the book, but none of the pages.
