I need to secure erase 5 external hard drives. I don't see any options to wipe more than 1 external hdd/ssd at the same time. I've also never tried to wipe multiple external drives at once, having only ever done so one by one. Is this something Disk Utility is capable of doing, perhaps there's a hidden feature I'm unaware of?

If not, is there a recommendation anyone could give me for an app for Monterey that is capable of doing so? I would like to speed things up 🥲 Thanks!

Use the diskutil command line. In Terminal.app, type diskutil, then right click that and select "Open man page". Check the section about secureErase.

Make a script with one line per disk that you want to secure erase.

If you secureErase the entire external drive, then you'll need to repartition it to use it again.
