10.7.?

I have tried everything to get my Mac to go past the grey load screen. It won't give me the log in box. Done verify disk and booted up in safe mode and a few others I found on a site.

It just appears it's like it can't access the log in files??

I don't know. I'm not a tech wizard.

Is Disk Warrior needed here? I have used that before and it got me a new log in and allowed me to access all files from control panel.

Can someone please help me and advise if disk warrior is a good idea.

Thanks.

Boot into Recovery Mode by booting while holding down Command-r. The go to Disk Utility and First Aid. Click on Macintosh HD in the left hand window and then run Repair Disk. If it says it repaired your disk, try rebooting normally. If it says it cannot repair your disk, then there is a chance that Disk Warrior might be able to.
