so i just tried to install bootcamp. it said error with verifying disk

so i used disk utility. repaired and permissions, however it wont let me repair the DISK. whenever i try to partition my HD it says an underlying failure is occuring. anyone know why it isnt letting me repair the disk OR the volume?

If you don't think it's a hardware problem, you could try erasing the disk (perhaps even zeroing it) to see if that fixes it. Make sure to keep backups of your data and watch to see the drive isn't physically damaged. Check its SMART status (in Disk Utility) if it supports that feature.
