Display Issue

When I access/initiate apps/programmes such as Keynote (and this also occurs with my Preview), the screen arrives blurred/unclear/hazy etc. as per the attached screenshot.

Why is this happening?

Any and all input/direction/suggestion will be welcomed and very much appreciated.

MacBook Air (early 2015) running Catalina 10.15

The app is asking you to open a file to use in Keynote. Click Cancel or New Document if you want to do something else.

All the files are blurred that do not have the correct file extension for the app.
