Aftert upgrading to Catalina, I noticed that my Display Monitor would not go to sleep anymore even after I have the Energy Saver setup for my Display to go to sleep in certain times. My setup is the following:

Viewsonic 32 inch 4K Display connected via displayport cable and UBC-C cable to eGPU and to 2018 Mac Mini. The screen saver will kick in fine but the monitor just won't go to sleep. I never had this problem with Mojave. Anybody else have this problem?

Yes. I have the same with a Samsung ultrawide.....
Connected via Thunderbolt....

Also, when I plug in the display it flickers 2 times as if it detects it 2 times... very annoying.

I think I have a similar issue, my screen saver doesn't state but the screen turns mostly purple and when I will the mouse it disappears as if a screen saver. The iMac is only a year old so I dont believe it is hardware related. are you still having the issue?
