Hi,

Running Mojave on an iMac Desktop.

I would like to make the images on desktop appear
"a bit" larger, and am willing to give up some of the resolution
to do so. I guess the two always must go inversely; true ?

I see in Preferences/Display, there is a choice of
about 5 settings.

Any way to do this on an "analog" basis ?

And, some time back, i think, there was a suggestion for a "Magnifier" program.
Can't find again.
Might someone please point me to it, or anything perhaps similar ?

Thanks,
Bob

Your "choices" are there in the displays pref pane.
You can see "the most available" by holding down the option key and clicking the "scaled" radio button.

If all you want are "larger icons" on the desktop, you can change this is the finder by going to the view menu and choosing "show view options".

You can also turn on Zoom in Accessibility. This lets you zoom into areas of the screen on a temporary basis.

Never knew this. Thanks. I've been using a program called Display Menu which, now it appears, is just pulling information from that panel. I'll still use it as I find having it in the menu bar helpful, but it is good to know it isn't "needed."
