iPhone 13 Display Zoom - Iphone 13

Does anyone know if the Iphone 13 6.1inch have the same display zoom as last years Iphone 12? I found the display zoom on Last years Iphone 12 made everything a bit bigger than the pro max version for some reason.

Ordered the 13 pro max but thinking of returning if display zoom is still bigger on the Normal Iphone 13 or 6.1 Pro, as i find it much more easy to read.

So strange how display zoom is bigger on the smaller phone. Can anyone confirm it's the same as last year please.

Also when i had display zoom turned on my Iphone 12, Some apps had black borders at top and bottom. Does Youtube still have this problem on iphone 13 when display zoom is turned on?

No i have not ordered the normal iphone 13 yet. It was iphone 13 Pro Max i ordered but find the font smaller than my Iphone 12 when display zoom is turned on.

I can only tell you that on the 13 Pro, zoom made everything from text to icons larger than having the exact same settings on my 11. Same 6.1” size displays, but totally different rendering. On the 11, I like zoom. On the 13 pro, things felt awkwardly big.

Yes display zoom on the 11 was smaller than Iphone 12. Really hope the Iphone 13 has the same display zoom as the 12 as i like it a bit bigger.

I had the 12 pro which I used with display zoom. And I’ve now got the 13 pro max, using with display zoom.
When I got the 13 pro max it did look like the font was ever so slightly smaller on it than it was on the 12 pro. Both on display zoom and same font size. Having said that the difference is subtle and I also wondered if maybe they were the same it just looked smaller on the max because of the larger screen and therefore more text displayed? In general the ability to increase the font size is really disappointing on iOS as lots of third party apps just ignore it.

I do think the display zoom is bigger on the 6.1 Iphone 12 compared to the 13 Pro Max. Font is bigger in lots of apps i use on the smaller phone when turned on.

Yes agree being able to change text size per app basis on IOS 15 is awesome but lots of apps don't support dynamic type and the font in lots of apps can be on the small side. Apple should really be doing something about it.

I found the black boarders on a small number of apps i use on the IPhone 12 when display zoom was turned on. After 1 year still not fixed. Hopefully Youtube etc have fixed this for Iphone 13.

I'd be interested in hearing a comparison between the 13 and the 13 Pro Max. I got the 13 Pro Max and returned it because the UI elements and fonts in some apps were just ridiculously small. Turning Zoom on just made some of the fonts kind of messed up. Apple really needs to do something about it, I can't believe with the billions of dollars of engineering that they put into the 13 lineup that it has problems displaying fonts at a reasonable size.

They’ve always struggled with iOS. It’s probably insanely complex and many bugs they just don’t know how to fix (yet)
