That is a great price. It may be hard to find a CompUSA that has them in stock. Looks like the website is out of stock.

That's a really nice deal on a good monitor - even before the rebates! I wouldn't worry about it being too good to be true since it's a reputable dealer and everything. And it should work just fine with your MacBook provided you have the mini DVI -> DVI or mini DVI -> VGA adapter. They used to give you the VGA one for free at least with the iBooks, but now you have to buy them separately. :(

I just bought two of these at CompUSA on Monday and I couldn't possibly be happier! :D

These are my first LCD's too, I was thinking about exchanging my dual 19" CRT's for a 20" Apple Cinema Display, but I was having a hard time rationalizing the price. Then I saw this deal on a CompUSA email and went down and picked two of them up. I showed my friend this deal and he went down and bought two as well.

Check it out, they look pretty hot. :)

Here's a shot of my friend's monitors. Unfortunately they're running on his PeeCee right now, but the jerk's gonna get a new Intel ProMac when they're announced so it's okay. ;)

No. You can, however, do display spanning to use both the built-in monitor and one of these monitors at the same time.

shoot. Dual display looks so much better than single. I will go check it out tonight and see. But 170/display is a heck of a deal.

By the way, I just went and got this display and it works great.....I don't see much of a difference between this and my 22" apple cinema display. However, the cinema display is more appealing visually. Just to let everyone know, after tax and rebates it cost about $198 and it is a great monitor.

congrats! i'll be shopping for a monitor in about a month. if i'd had the extra money now, i'd have jumped all over that deal (gotta wait for those student refunds though.. heh :))

I went an got two of these this morning. I have one set up and it looks great, but unfortunately no height adjustment. Since I have a Quicksilver G4, I had to order an adapter from DVI to the Apple Display Connector that is the second input in my display card. I am worried because some of the reviews for the adapter on the Apple website mention how it doesn't work with DVI-d, but only DVI-i, but the Apple people told me it should work fine. I can't wait to have them both going at once.

Congrats!

They're great, aren't they! :D I've also got all my rebates sent in too. Though I had to be a little creative since you can only have one rebate per customer/transaction/address/etc... So I bought one with my debit card and sent in the rebates for that one myself, then I bought the other one with cash and had a friend send in that rebate. :)
