I have a 2017 MBP running a 27" HP Envy Display that's about 2 years old.
Was Charging & driving the display via USB-C but that port quit working about a month ago.
I tried cables and tested with other monitors and it seems to be a bad port.

HDMI Connection was too low resolution and I wanted to avoid adapters so I ordered this USB-C to Displayport cable on March 19.

Was working great till yesterday when I updated to 10.15.4. Before update worked great. Post update no longer works.
Have tried restarting and different ports but the Monitor says its getting no Input Signal. (Reads Inactive, and "Input Signal Not Found")

Any Suggestions?

Had similar problem with recent update of Catalina and Mac mini 2018: the USB-c port nearest to the hdmi (I use that with a USB-c hdmi adapter to connect my second monitor) stopped working. Reset of SMC (in Mac mini is done just by unplugging power cable for at least 15 SECS if I remember well}) fixed the issue.
Bye,

10.15.4 likely borked it for you. There have been a few reports of USBC ports being disabled after the update.
