displays too big?

Hello i have got an apple minimac 80gb 10.5.6 with leopard and i bought an external 120gb hard drive so i can use time machine,when i plugged it in the back of the pc my display screen went funny so i removed external drive as the pc did not recognize it,but now when i click on firefox or mail the window i see is too large,any ideas on how to get back to default please and also how come my pc does not recognize the external drive?

i think i have fixed the problem now,i went to display and set the resolution to 1024x768,60hz

That might of been the problem. I messed up the screen settings on my imac and it looked really bad. Most of the icons were big and blurry. Did you get the external hardrive fixed though?

For some reason, the external hard drive could of been seen as an external something else that required a screen resolution reset. Glad to hear that you got everything fixed. Drumerdude asked before, but did you get the hard drive working correctly? If not try reformatting it by using Disk Utility.
