I was so close to buying, but having just tried the 13 inch in store, I must say the colors are noticeably not as good as on the MBP. I looked at the display profile and it was the 9CF0 which others have mentioned wasn't as good as the 9CDF.

I have the 13" MBA Ultimate. I had to find the right profiles to make it really as correct as possible. I also use HUEY from Pantone and that really helps.

It's not as good as the MBP, but still FAR better than most computers out there.

I agree after proper calibration the screen displays more accurate color. While it may not be as good as the 15" or 17" MBP I think it's a bit better than the 13" MBP. It is by far one of the best 13" screens I've seen around though.

I'm not that picky about colors, but I can tell no discernible difference between the colors on my 13" MBA and those on my 15" MBP Hi-Res. Blacks look as black, blues as blue, etc. There is a difference in screen resolution, but the colors themselves seem to pop just fine.

I have a 9CF0 screen on the MBA.

So....not sure what you are talking about. From my perspective, non-issue.

I know I'm nit picking :)

Try and compare these two wallpapers, Plants->Grass Blades and Plants->Petals.

Just did. No discernible difference. My 15" Hi Res has a glossy screen whereas the MBA has a semi-glossy screen. So I can say that the glass covering makes the darks a wee bit darker....that is normal and one of the advantages of the glossy screen.

Its morning for me now...I'll look again at this this evening and see if in a dark room the difference is noticeable. Right now, in my home office with normal ambient light from the windows, they look identical with a slight edge to the darker colors on the 15" Hi-res glossy. But its JUST slight.
