After multiple freezes on my MBP with Google Chrome I've moved to Safari. It's actually quite nice. Slimmed down, not much meat on its bones and seems to just work. Couple of questions....do I have to do anything specific to get bookmarks to sync across multiple devices? I see that I can click on bookmarks and it opens up a side window to display them. Is there not a way to just set up a folder that I can click on (like a drop down menu in most browsers) to display them? I already use the bookmarks bar but space is limited there. Thanks.

Open up your history pane (the little open book under your back/forward arrows) and press Command+Shift+N to create a new Bookmarks folder. drag that folder to your Bookmarks toolbar to add it.

Sorry I couldn't answer your other question. Unless you use iCloud, I don't know, but I'm sure there's an extension somewhere.

A free Apple iCloud account will sync bookmarks for you.
