Ditching cable (another thread!)

I've been reading a lot of posts about ditching cable as I was considering doing the same. I am going to do it - it's just too expensive. I've got an AppleTV 2 - not jailbroken. Is there anyway to get Hulu Plus working on there - I'm prepared to jailbreak it.

If I could get Hulu Plus working on there, I'd feel more confident about ditching cable. Netflix is great but not everything I want to watch is on there.

All of the jailbreak options are terrible for Hulu.

Lack of Hulu is biggest flaw for AppleTV. I doubt that Apple will ever allow it because they sell the same shows via ITunes.

That's what we used to think about Netflix.

I actually use an AppleTV *and* a WDTV Live Plus. I use the AppleTV for NetFlix and iTunes streaming (as well as AirPlay), and I use WDTV for AVIs.

I see that Hulu on WDTV is "Coming Soon". Perhaps when that comes out you could run both boxes? They're both cheap compared to a cable bill.

That's ok, I have other *cough* sources for my TV show needs. Thank goodness for mkvtools and identity 2.
