Div, CSS, and 100% Top to Bottom of the Page

I have a site that is pretty much like this:

|.B|......A.....| <- B: Menu A: Content

|...|.............| <- Fixed sized Footer that Stays nested in
+-+----------+ - the bottom with the menu in left

(sorry for the bad text-imaging)

I need A and B to fill height of page from top to bottom, they are divs and I'm using CSS. When the content in A and B requires more then the height of the page I need to to go on like normal, not like a little frame. Is this even possible with divs?

Darn, so you have to fake it with an image eh? Okay thats what I was thinking of doing.

Did you try wrapping them in a .div and using height:100%?

Works for me.

.container 
{
  height:        100%;
  width:         700px;
}

I did do that but it didn't accomplish anything.
