DivX download problem

I have a client who is reporting they are unable to download divX files from a site using safari. The problem they are reporting is that when they download they file,itappears as a huge text file rather than opening as a divX movie. To the best of my knowledge this works on all other os and browsers, so i'm at a loss to explain the problem...
Could anyone shed some light on this problem for me?

Client of what? You did not set up your web server properly.

In the mean time, they can right click and save as, or OPTION click the link to save the file.
