Hi trying to play some movies from watch-movies.com and keeps asking m to download divx for mac=/
I downloaded the divx7 for mac and also the divx web player but still wont let me play the movies.
Any movie from DIVX stage it wont let me play them.
Sorry new to macs and not sure what to do.

Can it be because I'm using safari?

why do you want to watch crap quality movies?
iTunes has rentals, redbox is a $1.

Im all about open standards h.264, so anything that isnt encoded in that i dont let it play on my mac, why should anyone have to download X amount of codecs to play a video file?

but to answer specifically...no clue, i dont remember the last time divX was updated.
i know if you use firefox it might work, but again youd have to change preferences and install vlc.

Hello,

Give VLC a try. I've never seen that player choke on a codec (except the very old ones).
