Divx problem?

I have a Macbook and when I first got it, I installed Divx to watch certain videos.

Just recently, I was trying to update it and right after you choose to install on my main hard drive during the installation, the whole setup shuts down.

I tried uninstalling divx and trying to reinstall but it's still having same problems.

Any help?

I don't have a fix for your Divx player, but instead I'll recommend VLC media player:

Should play whatever you are trying to watch.
