I know there are quite a few options out there to hold your iPad, but while procrastinating studying for my midterm tomorrow I figured I'd build my own! Works great and took less than 5 minutes to make.

Heres a rough diagram. All dimensions are rough as well. I didn't measure out anything while I was making it.. Oh and sorry looks like my scanner cut a little off

Me too!

You can buy one of these for 68 cents as well!

I have this exact same stand I believe that I bought at Office Depot. I also got a silver metal mesh business card holder that I think matches the aluminum on the iPad quite nicely. It cost a little more though. Like 5 bucks.

Great idea! Anything to save a few bucks is the way to go. Thanks for sharing.

Procrastination win! But hope you got your work done.

Nice stand idea. I like that it folds and I can toss it in my bag with my iPad and it doesn't weigh much at all. I have the Apple case on mine so I have a way to stand it up at a slight angle for typing but no way to stand it up steeper or stand it up in portrait mode. I'll made one of these with thin cardboard. I've got to go back and use something better but not too much heavier. Plexiglass perhaps, hinged with duct tape. Thanks again!

Here is mine.

Just grabbed a book end and clips from my office supply drawer. You can easily adjust tilt angle. ;)

Yeah, saw that metal mesh one in office depot the other day, but thought it looked a little bit too wide, although I didn't have my iPad there to test it.

Would you mind posting a photo of the iPad in that particular card holder?
