I know there are quite a few options out there to hold your iPad, but while procrastinating studying for my midterm tomorrow I figured I'd build my own! Works great and took less than 5 minutes to make.
Nice work. Make that a brushed aluminum frame with some rubber edges, and you could make yourself a bunch of money.

Heres a rough diagram. All dimensions are rough as well. I didn't measure out anything while I was making it.. Oh and sorry looks like my scanner cut a little off

Just grabbed an book end and clips from my office supply drawer. You can easily adjust tilt angle.

I have this exact same stand I believe that I bought at Office Depot. I also got a silver metal mesh business card holder that I think matches the aluminum on the iPad quite nicely. It cost a little more though. Like 5 bucks.
