Anyone have experience with the mp3/aac DJ software available for the Mac? I've looked at the screenshots and the features of DJ1800 (i think that's what it's called). What else is out there? Is there any consensus on the best one?

Also, are there any that let you add effects while the song is playing? Maybe even a record scratch effect? Are there any that don't have these, but can use plug-ins? Thanks.

im curious about this as well.

I want to buy a keyboard that can hook to my mac, for the mac to record what I play, then set up seperate tracks with different effects.

I want to start making techno stuff, and make the different beats and sounds using a keyboard that has 100's of different 'sounds'.

Any one know of a good, cost effective, set up for this?

The apple store in Novi has a little keyboard hooked to their g4, and thats basicaly what I want.

I just dont know what software will let me record tracks seperately, then add effects to each track and arrange it as I please, then combine it to mp3.

Try this one...

The best one out there is Final Scratch. You need real turntables to use it though. The way it works is like this:

It comes with a USB audio breakout box that you connect in between your turntables and mixer. It also comes with two records that have click tracks on them. You select a song on your laptop or computer, then cue up the record, and the sound of the clicks tells the USB audio breakout box which part of the song to play. It lets you mix MP3s just like they were vinyl. Very smooth.
