Hi all,

Great community. OK, my question is this - I have a m1 mac air with 16gb ram 1tb HD and I am looking at the m4 ipad pro 11 inch 8gb ram, 256gb. Is it worth the m4 ipad purchase for Djay Pro? What about Logic for Ipad (though I think this is inferior to Logic on mac.)

For those two apps and only those two apps alone - is it worth the purchase of the new Ipad Pro, or not really. Will I notice a difference in Djay Pro on M4 Ipad pro versus my m1 Mac air? I use stems alot!

Thank you all!

Regards....

I can't imagine Logic working anywhere near as well on iPad as Mac unless you are working entirely with virtual instruments and native plugins.

Certain functions will probably be faster on the iPad by virtue of the newer chip, but if you already have well specced MBA then I would stick with that as it will be more versatile and the apps you run will be more complete (ie: the "full" versions).

Also keep in mind that Logic is a one time purchase on the MBA and a subscription for iPad.

Yea - Honestly, I just like being able to pick up the iPad and going to it. Versus opening the laptop and doing pretty much the same, lol. But yea - is that worth a thousand dollars? Guess that's up to me to decide, but if I want to be money smart - doesn't look like a good purchase for the apps I care about.
