I have a beloved mid 2014 13 inch MacBook Pro which has always had stuttering animations for things like scrolling, opening folders, going full screen etc. due to underpowered iGPU for the retina resolution. We’ve come a long way since then, so is there any of these less-than-60fps animations on the 2020 5k iMacs? I am looking at the base model with the Radeon 5300 and I’m concerned by the 4gb memory on the card and it’s ability to power the 5k resolution smoothly. I have seen lots of threads about the 2015 models having this issue but not so much the 2017-2020 models and now this model is discontinued it might be hard to try myself in store!
