I'm looking to replace my father's creaky old eMac with something a little more web-friendly. An early aluminium iMac would be ideal but I'm worried that they might ultimately suffer from the same kind of chronic graphics card problems that plagued G5 and early Intel iMacs. Did Apple correct this problem for the aluminum iMacs? Thanks.

It's not a problem you will face, that was mostly with a few batches of nvidia cards, and the new iMacs have ATI chipsets for the GPU.

I don't know where Mulo is getting his info...

Get him an iMac he'll love the machine
