Hi all,
I'm just wondering what can and cannot be synced on an Android phone with my iMac? I still use an old ipod nano from a million years ago, and sync with itunes all the time. (I listen to lots of podcasts). Any idea if itunes runs on Android and if it will sync?

that app might be able to access iTunes library but I am unaware of any android phone that will show up as a connected device in iTunes on my computer. And that was what I thought the op was asking. Correct me if I am wrong. But the app you mentioned might just do what they need.

I use iTunes to arrange various playlists, like Sci-Fi, Greenie, Science, etc... so I can listen to various talks as the mood takes me. Will isyncr show playlists like that on my Android?

The app works by reading your iTunes library & playlists and asks you which you want sync to your device. The app is the bridge between iTunes & your device. It won't appear in iTunes like an iOS device but it is still the easiest way to sync existing playlists / music. It will also update your iTunes library with play count etc.

Of course you could always use Google Music Manager and move/copy your library over to your Google account for free and then access it directly in the cloud or download from there in Google Music on your android or iOS device.

No as others stated, you need an app to bridge the two. This was probably my biggest knock on using an android phone. Syncing my music was haphazard and problematic. Of course now, I'm relying mostly on streaming so its more a moot point.

Interesting! Any good 'how to use google music manager' video's for long term iTuners? Does it let you subscribe to about a thousand podcasts?

Not sure about podcasts at all.

It is like iTunes Match but gives only 20,000 songs rather than 25,000 with iTunes Match - however it's free.

I kept both simply because I have more than 20k songs and I find it would take too long to match all my tracks anyway - so I have about 4500 matched on Google Music. I'm also a Google Music All Access subscriber too however because it makes getting music so much easier for me.

I love using Google Play Music. It syncs your library and playlists with iTunes, so when you add a song on your computer it automatically gets added to your phone wirlessly, or you can even listen to it online for free.
